Will ends second pre-season test 11th fastest

Will Palmer finished the second pre-season Formula Renault 2.0 test 11^th fastest after another strong performance on the second and final day of running at the Paul Ricard circuit in France. The 19-year-old completed over 125 laps of running over the two days as he builds up his preparations for campaigns in both Eurocup and Northern European Cup with R-ACE GP.

In an extremely tight test which saw 27 drivers take to the track, Will posted a best lap time of 2m03.391s, just 0.775s shy of pace-setter Lando Norris. After a positive first day, Will ended the first session of Saturday with a fastest lap of 2m09.332s before improving that in the second session to a 2m05.357s, which put him 11^th fastest in the final session before lunch.

All drivers at the test were then put through an examination on the regulations of the championships before track action resumed in the afternoon, with just one session remaining. The Southwater racer improved yet again and posted his fastest time of the test, a 2m03.391s to finish 11^th overall and the fourth fastest rookie.

The final pre-season test ahead of the 2016 season takes place on 16/17 March at Nurburgring in Germany.
