Final pre-season test beckons for Will ahead of 2016 season-opener
The final official Formula Renault 2.0 pre-season test takes place at Motorland Aragon in Spain on Thursday and Friday (7/8 April), and Will Palmer will be looking to build on his strong early pace ahead of the opening round of his 2016 season in the Eurocup category at the same circuit next weekend (16/17 April).
The 2015 BRDC Formula 4 Champion will be in the cockpit of his R-ACE GP machine at the 3.3-mile circuit along with the majority of the Formula Renault field that will contest the 2016 Formula Renault 2.0 Eurocup and Northern European Cup championships. Will's pre-season testing schedule has already seen him visit a number of tracks that he will race on this year, including Paul Ricard in France and Hockenheim in Germany.
Last year's McLaren Autosport BRDC Award winner already has experience of the Motorland Aragon venue as he impressed during February's two-day test at the Spanish track, finishing ninth fastest overall and ending as the fourth quickest rookie. That form has been continued into subsequent tests as the 19-year-old completed the official test at Paul Ricard 11th fastest, and fourth fastest rookie again, before enjoying strong running at Hockenheim.
You can follow all of Will's progress from Spain through live updates right here on Will's official website.
