Comma extends partnership with 2015 BRDC Formula 4 Champion Will Palmer
Comma, a long-term supporter of Will Palmer's career, will continue to sponsor the 2015 BRDC Formula 4 Champion as he makes his debut in European racing this year. The company, a world-class manufacturer and supplier of automotive lubricants and chemicals for both passenger and commercial vehicles, has supported Will since his 2013 Ginetta Junior campaign and will do so again in 2016 as he competes in both the Formula Renault Eurocup and Northern European Cup championships.
Will, who has recently been made a BRDC Superstar, is driving for the French R-ACE GP team in what are two of the most competitive single-seater series' across the continent, with grids regularly averaging over 30 cars. Graduates include current F1 drivers Valtteri Bottas, Felipe Massa and McLaren Third Driver Stoffel Vandoorne.
As part of its association, Comma will see its logo feature heavily on Will's Formula Renault 2.0 car, including on the side pod, engine cover and rear wing, and also on Will's overalls. Comma previously sponsored Will's elder brother and Renault Sport F1 Team driver Jolyon as he climbed up the single-seater ladder on his way to Formula One, including his GP2 title-winning season in 2014.
Mike Bewsey, Sales and Marketing Director at Comma, said: "Comma has a long-standing and fruitful relationship with Jonathan Palmer, as well as his MotorSport Vision and PalmerSport businesses. We are constantly striving to make products of the very highest quality and that's why the partnership is valuable to us - where better to test the durability and quality of our products than the harsh environment of the racetrack?
"We have been very proud to follow Jolyon's career for the last few years and even prouder to now see his ascension to the pinnacle of motorsport. Now we are joining forces with his younger brother, Will, and we hope to follow this young talent on the same path."
Will has enjoyed a strong start to his 2016 season, claiming a rookie podium in the first round of Eurocup and a third-place finish last weekend at Monza as the Northern European Cup campaign got underway.
