Palmer P4 in Practice
Will Palmer enjoyed a strong opening day at Brands Hatch Indy to take fourth position overall in the Ginetta Junior practice preceeding the first round of the championship there this weekend.
In the first of two half hour sessions, Palmer completed the most laps of anyone with 31 laps, and posted a time of 54.624, which was just two tenths off Douglas Motorsport pacesetter Niall Murray, who was followed by Will's HHC teamate Charlie Robertson and Hillspeed's George Gamble.
In the second session where several people ran new tyres, Will finished eighth fastest, but although he was six tenths off fastest man Charlie Robertson, Palmer was just two tenths from third.
However, with the afternoon session yielding generally slower times than the first, Will's morning time was still strong enough to take fourth overall.
Speaking afterwards, Will said "Today was a really good day, which I end feeling much more confident about both this weekend and this season. If we can carry this form through to qualifying then we will be in a great positon to get some strong results this weekend."
Will is back in action tomorrow for final practice at 10 55 before qualifying, which takes place at 15 00.
