Calendar unveiled for 2012 Ginetta Junior Championship

Organisers of the Ginetta Junior Championship have unveiled its calendar for the 2012 season, which gets underway at Kent's Brands Hatch Indy circuit on April 1.

This season will be the sixth in the championship's history taking place over 20 rounds (two races per weekend) held at ten meetings, all in support of the 2012 British Touring Car Championship.

After Brands Hatch, the series travels to Donington Park in Leicester on 15 April followed by Hampshire's fast-paced Thruxton circuit on 29 April. Oulton Park in Cheshire (10 June), Croft in North Yorkshire (24 June) and Norfolk's Snetterton circuit (12 August) then play host to rounds four, five and six before the championship's only visit to Scotland and Knockhill on 26 August. Northamptonshire's Rockingham circuit and Silverstone play host to rounds eight (23 September) and nine (7 October) before the season finale back at Brands Hatch GP circuit on 21 October.

2012 marks Will Palmer's first full season in the Ginetta Junior Championship racing with HHC Motorsport.
